Data Governance Core Committee
Data Owners - Officials accountable for one or more Systems of Record (SOR) and are responsible for ensuring data is in compliance with policies and standards.
Data Stewards (Primary and Associate) - Business area subject matter experts (SME's) who ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations as well as University policies related to Institutional Data. Data Stewards have the responsibility to restrict the use and exposure of information when deemed necessary.
Data Custodians - Managers and/or administrators of systems or media which sensitive information resides. Data Custodians are responsible for the technical safeguarding of sensitive information.
Innovation Leads - Advise the Data Governance Core Committee on the advantages of adopting new methods and technologies by exploring new ways to use technology and advanced data modeling techniques.
Compliance Leads - Ensure compliance with all existing and emerging laws and policies.
Strategic Stakeholders - Actively participate in the Data Governance program and ensure policies and procedures created by the Data Governance Core Committee align with the University's strategic plan, mission and values.
